Our online tool has been designed to address a gap in the marketplace for a cost effective, robust yet simple to use, fully automated 360 degree feedback process. This enables organisations to implement a thorough 360 feedback system and gather data on individuals as part of their appraisal, benchmarking or development process thus supporting their performance improvement activities.
The tool allows for the flexible input of any number of different competencies and behavioural-type questions or statements, enabling respondees to rate the behaviour of delegates by selecting one of a range of set responses to each statement. They can also add free text comments in answer to specific prompt questions.
How it works in Practice
Continuum works closely with clients to identify the required competencies and questions and then works with their technical partner to set up the survey and input email addresses of the delegates taking part. The tool can be personalised by adding the clients’ logos. Once activated the system sends the delegates an email inviting them to participate in the survey and containing a link. These e-mails can be customised to your organisation.
By clicking on the link, delegates are taken to their own survey control panel or ‘dashboard’, where full clear instructions are given on how to set up the survey and invite people to give them feedback

Delegates then input the names and email addresses of their invitees – defining the relationship these people have with them:
- Manager
- Team Member
- Colleague
- Customer (optional)
- Self is automatically included
Delegates then activate their survey, at which point the invitees they entered get an email inviting them to complete the survey.
Delegates can then manage the process themselves, monitoring their survey dashboard at any time to see who has responded and sending system reminders to invitees who have not yet completed a response. They can also complete a self-survey to help them compare how their own views align with those of the people around them.
Results
When the survey is complete, reports are generated and delivered in bulk to enable face to face feedback, or delegates can receive an email notification to enable them to access their results online. Results can be viewed online or downloaded in the form of a PDF personalised report (see below), which can be customised to your organisation.
The report includes a variety of graphs illustrating the results overall
And also graphs for ‘top 10’ and ‘bottom 10’ competencies:
PDF Workbook
The standard PDF workbook template takes the delegate through the following steps:

- Understanding your results
- Your actual results
Using your results as part of your personal development including:
- Identifying strengths and weaknesses

- Creating a personal development plan

Additional Features of the System
The following additional features involve additional cost:
Pre and post course comparison
The system enables the same survey and same group of respondees to be used before and after a development intervention and for pre and post results to be compared in individual and group level results. It is possible to analyse group level data broken down into geography or department to enable OD teams to identify if there are systemic problems or specific strengths in one or other area of an organisation. If you wish, the system can present the data to delegates including a “group average indicator” which enables them to see whether their numeric responses are above or below average.
Reports can be customised to suit your specific requirements
- Group Level Data Analysis
- Group Average Indicator Line
- Report Customisation
Technical Caveats
The system is a web-based application. However certain configurations of IT systems can cause problems as follows. You are strongly advised to work with us on a full technical test at your customer site prior to implementation.
- The system is optimised for Firefox and Explorer 8 or later. Some browser issues can occur with Explorer 6 or earlier.
- Operating systems including Windows 2000 or older will cause performance issues.
- The system does not work with Lotus Notes.
- Some large organisations (especially public sector) have firewall and IT security policies that disable live links in emails – hence web links may need to be typed in manually.
- As the system generates substantial levels of email traffic to delegates and their respondees, some firewalls block e-mails from the system unless the address is white-listed in advance.
