Audit and Assesment

Continuum’s prophet process is the vehicle through which capability is defined, assessed, analysed and reported upon: and provides exceptionally rich learning needs data at an individual and collective level.

As an overall approach, Continuum will use the following five-stage model for delivering a learning needs analysis:

1. Define Criteria

2. Assess Current Capability

3. Analyse Results

4. Feedback & Reporting

5. Action Planning

Stage 1: Define Criteria

It is vital to clearly identify and define the criteria against which capability will be benchmarked and measured. prophet has its own built-in criteria which are comprehensive, highly validated and robust.

In addition,
prophet's blend of unique and generic elements makes it flexible enough to encompass any specific client criteria as needs be. If required, existing client benchmarks and standards (such as values, competencies or ‘Investors in People’ standards) can be incorporated.

Stage 2: Assess Current Capability

To assess current capability within an origanisation three interventions could be used to capture learning needs data against defined criteria:

§ Individual analysis - A comprehensive 1:1 off the job

  analysis (including self analysis)

§ Workplace assessment - On the job assessments and

  observation

§ Desk based research - Accessing existing interventions,

  data and reports (if available)

As a starting point, Continuum would provide any assessors required, all of whom would be experienced, objective consultants who are prophet-accredited Assessors. However, there is scope for client personnel to be involved in the assessment process.

Stage 3: Analyse Results

This stage consists of Continuum processing all results, and measuring capability against a range of internal and external benchmarks. This provides a gap analysis, and rich collective and individual outputs.

Stage 4: Feedback & Reporting

At this stage Continuum would be in a position to report results in both qualitative and quantitative formats, and through personal face-to-face feedback.

Each participant would have a series of outputs, including ‘scorecards’, which display key findings and learning needs for consideration. Collective findings and results are reported in similar fashion.

Continuum consultants have immense experience in handling the feedback process sensitively, honestly and with absolute discretion.

Stage 5: Action Planning

Findings from the four previous stages would provide information for an action plan and link directly into the design and content of a client training programme.
